Okay. Enough is enough. This is completely unprofessional and just down right disrespectful. Davy deserved to have his life and music honored just as much as everyone else, if not MORE. He was an idol, a role-model. People looked up to him. I sure know i did and forever will. I’m sick and tired of the Monkees not getting the respect they deserve. It’s just not right. If I were in attendance of the Billboard Awards. I would have ran up on stage and made it known that David Thomas Jones, such a beautiful soul, was lost as well. I’m extremely disappointed and heartbroken. Davy didn’t deserve that.
Neither did Etta James, Levon Helm and Dick Clark.
